Art & Design (Nov 23)

We would like to share with you some of the wonderful and fantastic activities that our children have been doing within their Art & Design lessons here at Mill Hill:-

Year 1 – The children have been learning all about imprinting and have used different resources to create texture and make their own leaf sculptures 🍂🍁🌿

Year 2 – The children have learnt about how castles inspired Staffordshire pottery. They have created a sketchbook page in art to explore different shapes that a castle could be. They then enjoyed making their own clay relief sculptures. Using their skills they carved and imprinted designs to make castles out of clay 🏰🏰🏰

Year 3 – The children have been looking at Mexican artists and how they are inspired by the things around them. They have sculptured and painted their own cacti’s. I think you will all agree they did an amazing job! 🌵🌵🌵

Year 5 – As part of Design Technology’s unit of work year 5 tasted and evaluated some different Bolognese sauces. They made their own really healthy vegetarian versions which smelt amazing! 🍝🍝
