4W: Mrs Wellington and Mrs Hughes
4D: Mrs Dickson and Mrs Turner
Hi, I am Mrs Wellington and I have worked at Mill Hill for over 13 years. I have a passion for English and I have the privilege of leading writing throughout the school. I have two grown up children and a naughty Beagle called Billie! I love the sunshine and going abroad whenever I get the chance! I am lucky to be joined in the classroom by Mrs Hughes. Mrs Hughes loves to read. Her favourite book is ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’. She also enjoys spending precious time with her family. Mrs Hughes enjoys a sing and a dance and brings that to the classroom wherever possible; whether it be during a class performance, a Spanish or SPAG lesson. Her main focus is ensuring all children achieve their very best and are always happy when they are at school.
I am Mrs Dickson. My career at Mill Hill Primary Academy began in 2014, where I worked in year 1. I have also taught in year 3 and now year 4. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching these year groups and found it such a pleasure to see the children working hard, maturing and progressing through their school years. I also lead PSHE/RSE and careers. Out of work, I have two beautiful children called Alistar and Olly.
I have the pleasure of working alongside Mrs Turner, who has worked at Mill Hill since the year 2000 as a teaching assistant. She worked for 12 years in the reception class and has also worked in years 2, 3, 4 and 5. Mrs Turner enjoys and loves her role within the school very much! She is a parent herself to 3 children and a nana to 4 grandchildren. Mrs Turner is a great lover of dogs and has a dog of her own called Kalidor, who she absolutely adores.
This year, our PE day will be a WEDNESDAY. Please make sure appropriate PE kit is in school each week. Please see our uniform policy for more details. http://clt.millhill.coop/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Academy-Uniform-September-2023.pdf
We use TTRS in school and monitor reading on a daily basis. We change our reading books on a weekly basis. Homework is also monitored on a weekly basis.
We are so excited for all the learning opportunities we will share with the children this year.
