RB – Miss Yates and Miss Fenton
RM – Mrs Flannigan and Mrs Joines
Hi I’m Miss Yates and I am so excited to be joining Mill Hill. I completed my teacher training 4 years ago at Mill Hill, so I am coming back to where I first started. I have a gorgeous dog called Buzz who is named after one of my favourite characters Buzz Lightyear. I love being sporty and I have a degree in Sports Science, so you will often find lots of sporty energy in the classroom. I also enjoy reading and being crafty and having lots of fun! I can’t wait to work in Reception and watch the children grow and complete this journey with them.
Miss Fenton has been a part of the Mill Hill family for 13 years. She really enjoys spending time with family and chilling out with a book!Â
Hello I am Mrs Flannigan and I work in RF with Mrs Joines. I have 3 grown up children and a gorgeous fur baby called Sookie. I have worked at Mill Hill for 18 years and still love it as much as I did when I started. It is fab to see and encourage the children to try their best and flourish in all they do. Mrs Joines and I both love to sing and dance and are often seen doing this in the classroom!
You will also catch Mrs Joines spending quality time with the family and eating her favourite thing in the whole world… spaghetti Bolognese and Lindor chocolate!
This year, PE is on a Tuesday. Please make sure appropriate PE kit is in school each week and any earrings have been removed and left at home. Please see our uniform policy for more details.
We change our reading books on a Friday and ask that purple folders are brought into school every day with their books and planners inside. We also monitor homework on a weekly basis and expect homework books to be returned on a Friday, so your child can share their progress. We do also encourage children to go onto Bug Club to read books and complete quizzes to further support their reading.
We have lots of exciting topics to teach this year and are looking forward to sharing these with your child.
Autumn topic: Transport – Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Spring topic: The World and Beyond
Summer topic: All creatures great and small
