I was brought up in Cheadle – a small town in Stoke-on-Trent – where I went to primary school, secondary school and also sixth form. Throughout my life, I have always been passionate about sport and for this reason I went on to complete a Bachelor of Science in Sports Studies at Staffordshire University. Â Following this, I studied at Keele University, where I completed my primary teacher training.
Mill Hill Primary Academy was one of my placement schools during this time and I have been here ever since. I’ve taught in a range of year groups and loved them all for different reasons. In all years, the children have always been eager to do well, have never failed to put a smile on my face and have lived by our school motto of, ‘Work Hard, Dream Big and Never Give Up!’
Mill Hill most definitely has a special place in my heart and I am so proud to be assistant principal here. I endeavour to encourage the children to strive to be the best version of themselves and have fun along the way!
