This week, our Year 5 geographers visited Dovedale to explore the River Trent and its features up close! 🏞️
The children collected data on the river’s depth, speed, and width at three different points using metre sticks, tape measures, footballs, and stopwatches. They also created detailed sketches of the valley landscape and the iconic stepping stones used to cross the river. 📝🪨
With perfect weather and plenty of hands-on learning, it was a day full of discovery and fun! ☀️🧠🌿
