Year 5 American Day! (Apr 26)

Our Year 5 America Day was packed with fun and learning as we explored the similarities and differences between the USA and the UK. We began by comparing key features of both countries, from culture to Geography, and discussed what makes each one unique. The classroom was buzzing during our American pop bingo game, where everyone enjoyed recognising famous songs and artists🗽🏈

Creativity took centre stage as we designed our own pop art pictures, inspired by bold colours and iconic styles. Later, we sampled a range of American foods – especially the pretzels, which went down a treat! 🥨🍩

To round off the day, we held a lively debate comparing life in America and the UK, where pupils shared thoughtful opinions and demonstrated excellent speaking and listening skills. It was a fantastic day full of creativity, discussion and cultural exploration.
