Reception had an exciting hook day for their new topic, ‘The World and Beyond’. To launch their learning, the children dressed up in fantastic space-themed outfits, bringing astronauts, aliens, and stars to life. They were then immersed in the wonders of the universe through the Wonderdome, a thrilling experience that transported them into space and taught them lots of facts. The children also explored the work of artist, Jackson Pollock, using his splatter and drip painting techniques to create artwork representing the universe.
It was a fantastic start to their journey of discovery beyond our world!
