We had a wonderful visit from the Hallé Orchestra yesterday, which was a fantastic experience for our Reception children. The musicians talked about the different instruments they play, explaining how each one makes its unique sound. The children were very interested to see the instruments up close and learn how music can help tell a story.

The orchestra then brought two familiar fairy tales to life: Goldilocks and the Three Bears and Jack and the Beanstalk. As the stories were told, the musicians played along, using their instruments to create different sounds and moods to match the characters and events in the stories.

The children had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the performance. 🎵😊❤️🎵
