Year 4

Meet the team

4H: Miss Higginson, Mrs Seyad and Mrs Miley

4D: Mrs Dickson and Mrs Turner

I am Miss Higginson. I have been working at Mill Hill Primary Academy for two years now and I thoroughly love my career. I have had the opportunity to work in year 4 and help my children flourish and grow, ready for their time in upper key stage two. I have the pleasure of working alongside Mrs Miley and Mrs Seyad. Mrs Miley has worked at the school since 2013, starting in Year 3. She has worked in many year groups across the school from Nursery to Year 6. She has 2 gorgeous children, Rocco and Rosa and is obsessed with her cats Paris and Ronaldo. Mrs Seyad has been at the school for over 15 years and has worked across the school from KS1 to KS2.

I am Mrs Dickson.  My career at Mill Hill Primary Academy began in 2014, where I worked in year 1.  I have also taught in year 3. I really enjoyed teaching this year group and found it such a pleasure to see the children working hard, maturing and progressing through their school years. This year, I will be leading PSHE and careers, which I am looking forward too. I have two beautiful children: Alistar and Olly. It is lovely to see that Alistar has inherited my passion for reading too. I have the pleasure of working alongside Mrs Turner, who has worked at Mill Hill since 2000 as a Teaching assistant. Mrs Turner has worked at Mill Hill for many years. She worked for 12 years in the Reception class and has also worked in years 2, 3 and 5. She enjoys and loves her role within the school and working with all the super children. She is a parent herself to 3 children and also has 4 grandchildren. She is a great lover of dogs and I has a dog at home.

This year, our PE day will be a WEDNESDAY. Please make sure appropriate PE kit is in school each week. Please see our uniform policy for more details. https://clt.millhill.coop/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Academy-Uniform-September-2023.pdf

In school we use Bug Club and monitor reading on a daily basis. We change our reading books on a weekly basis or depending on reading habits. We also monitor homework on a weekly basis.

We are so excited for all of the learning opportunities we will get to share with the children this year.

Work hard, dream big and never give up."
