2K: Mrs Khalid and Ms Barker
2R: Miss Russell and Miss HughesÂ
Hi I am Mrs Khalid and I have had the pleasure of working at Mill Hill Primary Academy for more than 17 years and I am thoroughly enjoying working with the children within Year 2. I enjoy shopping, especially for shoes and handbags, spending time with my family and I love going on holidays abroad. I have the pleasure of working alongside Miss Barker who is a Learning Support Practitioner. She has worked at Mill Hill for a number of years now. She loves spending time with family, drawing and making sock monkeys.
Hi I am Miss Russell. I began my career at Mill Hill in 2020 and have had the pleasure of working in both key stages. I loved working with the Year 5 children and getting them prepared for year 6; however, I am thoroughly enjoying working in Year 2. In my spare time, I love to watch different programmes on the TV. I am joined by Miss Hughes, who has had the pleasure of working at the school for 11 years now, and she has worked with a variety of year groups. Since working in Key Stage 1, she has absolutely loved it. One of her favourite things to do with the children is dough disco – any excuse for a boogie! She has a daughter called Neveah and she enjoys taking her swimming.
This year, our PE day will be a Thursday. Please make sure appropriate PE kit is in school each week. This includes the purple Mill Hill t-shirt. It is important the children take part in the sessions. Please see our uniform policy for more details. https://clt.millhill.coop/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Academy-Uniform-September-2023.pdf
In school, we use Bug Club and monitor reading on a daily basis. We change our reading books on a weekly basis or depending on reading habits. We also monitor homework on a weekly basis.
We are so excited for all of the learning opportunities we will get to share with the children this year.
